Highlights: Women's Park Final | Rockstar Energy Open Portland 2024

The women skateboarders who dropped into the park course were the first to start finals at the Rockstar Energy Open. Twelve women from all corners of the world lined the deck of a custom-built park, ready to show the fans in attendance and those watching online their best lines. Skateboard GB Presents "The Thing"

We are excited to launch "The Thing", a short documentary which follows some of the Skateboard GB national team on a trip to Ostia, Italy, in preparation for the 2023 Skateboard Park World Championships.

To compete and win is important, but not as important as the journey. Now more than ever, with the world watching, taking notes and a sports filter being applied, it's essential to do this 'thing' authentically and be as "true to skateboarding" as possible.

Skateboard GB Performance Manager Darren Pearcy said:
"We're here because we love skateboarding. It's as simple as that. We will not compromise skateboarding's values or culture for competitive success, but we will use them to drive us to where we want to go. Success at the destination should be the outcome of a meaningful and fun journey. It's got to be 'bigger than the rings', or it's not worth doing."

The Thing is the journey.
The Thing is to compete.
The Thing is to have fun.
The Thing is skateboarding.

Exposure 2022 Official Recap Video - Bowl

The 11th annual Exposure event featured 204 women, trans & nonbinary skateboarders from Japan, Australia, China, Canada, UK, Mexico, Sweden, Philippines, Hungary, Italy, Austria, Brazil, Scotland and all over the United States. Skaters competed in vert, bowl and street categories for a $60,000 prize purse. The event serves as a benefit for the Community Resource Center's domestic violence program.
