BEST OF Monster Energy Men’s Skateboard Street Best Trick | X Games Chiba 2024 Watch the Monster Energy Men’s Skateboard Street Best Trick highlights from X Games Chiba 2024 in Japan! How medal event is judged: 1 heat of 8 athletes competing in a 20 minute jam session with :30 second maximum runs. Athletes will take as many runs as possible within the 20 minutes. Best run counts, scored 1-100. Judges will score competitors throughout the contest. Skateboard street is a style of skateboarding that takes place on a course simulating urban terrain using everyday objects such as curbs, stairs, handrails, benches and quarter pipes as obstacles. Skateboarders use these obstacles to perform a variety of tricks, grinds, and slides, often combining multiple maneuvers into a single trick. Skateboard street requires a high level of creativity, adaptability, and technical skill, as riders must be able to navigate the urban landscape and perform tricks with precision and control. How medal event is judged: 1 heat of 8 athletes participating in three 40-second runs each. Best run counts, scored 1 - 100. Judges will rank competitors throughout the contest. Skateboard park is a style of skateboarding featuring a variety of obstacles such as ramps, bowls, quarter pipes, and ledges arranged in a challenging and creative layout. Skateboarders use these obstacles to perform a variety of tricks, jumps, and grinds, incorporating a majority or all features into a single run. The athletes will complete as many runs as possible within the jam session, with their best run score counting towards final ranking. Competitors will be judged based on aggressive execution of maneuvers, degree of difficulty, variety, continuity of run, originality and style, amplitude (height of airs) and use of the course.
