Board test day with the Beagle, Lennix Smith
So what’s the R&D summary from Lenno? Board test number 1, a Xero Fusion squash, has plenty of glide due to extra foam and a flatter rocker, while number 2, a Monsta round tail, has more drive as you’d expect from a shortboard with a performance curve. It’s still easy to surf in small beachbreaks like our test day, yet has the versatility to work in waves with push and solid sections making it the favourite for a few upcoming contests.
Then in weaker conditions, Lenno’s made the huge call that if he only had one board he could ride for the rest of his life, board number 3 his Xero Fusion swallow is the choice… So far.
