Philosophy of life:
I love life. Its ups its downs. Surfing is my profession and my lifestyle. Embrace your talents, and live your dreams. xx
Sage and her family moved from Ojai to the North Shore of Oahu when she was just nine years old. She was first introduced to surfing by her older brother and dad, who both surfed regularly. One day at Sunset Beach, she paddled an old school board she found lying in the sand to the inside section. She got to her feet and rode it all the way to shore. After that, she started surfing several times a day, and the rest is history. Hawaii proved to be the perfect training ground for a young surfer. She started fourth grade at the famed Sunset Beach Elementary, known for its location directly across the street from Pipeline and the alma mater of many young surf stars. In that fourth grade classroom, Sage sat directly next to another young surf star, Coco Ho, and the girls instantly became best friends. It wasn't long before the two started surfing heavier waves around the island, and shared dreams of traveling the world as professional surfers.
