Team Edit: Dumpster Diver 2 Watch some of CI's leading Team Riders in a purely surf action "TEAM EDIT" for the Dumpster Diver 2. The idea for this board came when Dane was riding his original Dumpster Diver while filming "Out of the Rafters" edit for Chapter 11 last year. He was was tripping out how how tiny and short the Dumpster Diver felt and wanted to build a longer - modernized version that still tapped into the magic of the original. The DD2 has a wider nose and tail, more nose and tail rocker, and a more subtle single concave. These updates, among other tweaks, allow the board to excel in a wider range of conditions and letting your rip as hard as you think you do. Dane also made a special set of fins for the board, that will work well in other designs if you like that slightly 2+1 feel. Ride 1" shorter than your Happy Everyday. North Shore Field Notes Britt Merrick and CI’s Global Team Manager Brent Power just spent a few weeks on North Shore to dial in quivers for CI's CT 2024 Surfers: Joao Chianca, Barron Mamiya, Lakey Peterson, Imaikalani DeVault, Alyssa Spencer, and Matt MacGillivray. They met everyday, surfed, talked about the boards' pros and cons, took notes and went home to fix any needed refinements. The work they did collectively on dialing in boards will ensure these CT surfers are 100% ready for Pipe and Sunset—there will be no second guessing what they are riding, regardless of whatever Mother Nature has in store for those events. The video is a fly-on-the-wall view of Britt and Brent's time with these 6 surfers, and includes insightful commentary about how they approached this process. And, of course, there was lot of great waves and surfing as the backdrop to their R&D sessions. So what are they riding? The team is mostly on custom dims of popular CI Performance models such as CI Pro, 2.Pro and Happy Traveler.
