Justine Dupont Surfs Nazaré's Praia do Norte During the "Swell of the Century" Watch Justine Dupont taking on giant waves at Praia do Norte, in Nazaré, Portugal. The French daredevil enjoyed spectacular rides on October 28-29, 2020, at the infamous Portuguese beach break. "The last few days were unreal. Thank you to Garrett McNamara for towing me into two of the biggest and craziest waves of my life. It's a great honor. You're a legend! I have never been so fast on a wave!" expressed Dupont. "I would also like to thank all the people who help and support me everywhere. You're helping me live my dreams, and I wouldn't do anything without the whole team around me." "Finally, congratulations to all the surfers and water safety for the show." Dupont could've ridden one of the biggest waves of the 2020/2021 winter season so far. The waves produced by the so-called "Swell of the Century" are the result of Hurricane Epsilon, a powerful storm that was generated in the North Atlantic. It was the fourth major Category 3 - or stronger - hurricane of the 2020 Atlantic hurricane season.
