Tuesday, April 5, 2022 will be a day long remembered in snowboarding!

Within minutes of each other, Japanese snowboarder Reira Iwabuchi landed the world’s first frontside triple 1260 by a woman, followed shortly afterwards by the second-ever women’s cab triple 1260 from Canadian Laurie Blouin.

Both feats took place at The Nines ski and snowboard progression session in Crans-Montana, Switzerland!

The women’s snowboard slopestyle competition had a stacked field of athletes descend down Copper Mountain at Dew Tour this winter. Although conditions proved to be a problematic factor for speed, the women put on a fierce competition.
