You Are Inside Your Heart | VANS

"You Are Inside Your Heart" is a video portrait of Benny Urban.

Benny has been out shooting for this film alongside the Vans Snow Team across Europe during the last two and a half years.

Shot on location in Norway, Finland, Austria, Slovakia, and Germany.

For this film we united with director Alexander Tank who’s one of Benny’s best childhood friends who was a former Snowboard Pro himself and is now a successful movie director.

Benny: "It’s been such an incredible opportunity to have had so much creative freedom on creating a film with Vans. It’s probably been the craziest two years of my life since our daughter was born right in the middle of the project. It’s the best thing that has ever happened to me and throughout this whole filming process, I was learning so much about fatherhood and simultaneously trying to power through with this project and continuing my life as a professional snowboarder."

Jake's approach to filming is highly respected, so we were grateful to get him on the phone to pull back the veil and give us a quick run-down on how these sessions transpired. K2 SNOWBOARDING PRESENTS "orange things"

The winter of 2022/2023 was absolutely incredible in Salt Lake City, Utah - home to K2 staff filmed Seamus Foster and team riders like Justin Phipps. Some early season clips in Utah gave the crew the “itch” to get out and about. Endless hours on Google Earth and some Japanese intel (thanks Aito) lead Jake Kuzyk, Justin Phipps, Antti Jussila, Mark Wilson, and our media team into the rabbit hole, and tickets were booked to the city of Muroran.

Muroran is a fishing village and port city located on the south side of the island of Hokkaidõ. Often referred to as Japan’s “north Island,” Hokkaidõ is storied for it’s terrain, deep snow, incredible food, and cultural warmth. The city of Muroran overlooks the Uchiura Bay - home to whales, dolphins, the Mt. Komagatake volcano. With a metro population hovering around 100,000 people, the city of Muroran and it’s surrounding villages is packed full unique terrain, textbook features, and aesthetically pleasing spots to snowboard on. Vans Snowboarding Presents: It’s Love | Snow | VANS

Vans presents a short film featuring a handful of their most creative and influential athletes—Cole Navin, Parker Szumoski, Kennedi Deck, Jill Perkins, among others. Filmed on location in Ohio, Utah, and Iceland in super 16mm, the film brings forward the bangers, the banal, and everything in between. The end result is a medley of top-notch snowboarding, adventure, and community togetherness. Ultimately, this film serves as a reminder of why we started snowboarding in the first place. Elevate Your Experience

We needed some quality time with the gang, so we decided to rally (almost) the entire crew. The Pacific Northwest had a banner snow-year so we chose to bring everyone out to the Summit at Snoqualmie to shoot some photos, bond, and have some good times.
