2026 NST Snow | RnD | Natural Selection Tour RND 2026 | Whitewater, BC Fifteen women from around the world came together at Whitewater Mountain Resort for RnD 2026—pushing the limits of backcountry freestyle snowboarding through filming, competition, and full-send commitment. Founded by Robin Van Gyn, RnD’s mission is simple: get more women into the mountains, give them the space to be seen, build their presence, and showcase their backcountry riding—while creating a pathway to the Natural Selection Tour. The format blends three filming days with one contest day, combining each rider’s best line and strongest clip. Creativity, adaptability, and execution are everything. In 2026, the stakes leveled up: Top 2 riders qualified for the Natural Selection Tour Finals in Revelstoke, BC, with one alternate. Results: 1st – Amalia “Billy” Pelchat ($10,000 + NST Qualified) 2nd – Yuka Fujimori ($6,000 + NST Qualified) 3rd – Katie Kennedy ($4,000 + NST Alternate) More than a contest, RnD is a progression platform—where riders film real backcountry lines, work with production crews, and leave with the footage, photos, and momentum to push their careers forward. As RnD continues to grow, it has firmly established itself as a critical progression platform in women’s backcountry freestyle snowboarding—proving that when opportunity, mentorship, and terrain align, talent that has long existed finally gets the stage it deserves.
