Boardmasters Surf Open - Day 1 at Boardmasters 2025 The opening day of Boardmasters Surf Competition 2025 started with sunny, 3-4 foot waves with very contestable waves. The comp kicked off with 96 surfers in Round 1 of the Men’s QS….However it was Naia Monte who had the highest combined heat total of the day - out of the men and women! In the Men’s QS Jamie Veselko was a great young talent scoring high along with Gaspard Larsonneur, Noe Ledee and Uri Uziel who settled into the Cornish waves with the some of the top scoring heats. In the women’s QS Clemence Schorsch and Charlotte Mulley flew into the next round with some great sporting camaraderie by the girls. We closed out day one with the Juniors where local legend Lukas Skinner took the win in the first heat with the youngest surfer of the whole competition Cassius Woudberg taking second. Roll on Day 2…..
