Background: After losing my leg in a tractor accident in South Africa, I have spent the last 10 years working to overcome and develop means to lead a successful life. I wouldn't say a "normal" life, because the road to being an elite snowboard athlete is anything but. My Snowboarding Career started not even a year ago. My Coach, Peter Higgins, found me and asked me to join the team because he saw the athlete I could be. I immediately said "yes". I spent the Australian winter season with my coach and team mate, Trent Milton. I learned to snowboard and now I am racing on the Para snowboard cross World Cup Circuit. My best result is a 5th.
