Where modern surfing began: Honolulu | NO CONTEST: OFF TOUR While Hawaii’s Oahu is widely recognised as the home of modern surfing, the incredible waves at the famed venues of Pipeline and Waimea Bay can often overshadow the spiritual home of what the Hawaiians refer to as the Sport Of Kings.
