The World's first bluetooth flash and video light for your iPhone/Android or GoPro!!
The Lume Cube was born, as many products are, in a Las Vegas Lounge over some post WPPI drinks. Several of us photo guys got together to discuss another project and landed on the subject of off camera flash. We started to discuss a Mini Light that would be the most powerful, versatile and useful the world has ever seen. Lofty goals I know, but the beers and ideas were flowing. We said it needs to be small and portable. It needs to work with the iPhone and be adjustable via an app. It needs to be a slave and respond to light, needs to have a constant mode for video and absolutely needs to be compatible with the GoPro. We have accomplished all of these lofty goals...fortunately one of the crew is an electrical engineer and knew he could make it happen. We left Vegas and went our separate ways. The hangover faded but the excitement only grew. We immediately set up weekly calls and after a few months of R&D The Lume Cube was born. You might be thinking how can these guys pull this off? Fortunately the team is comprised of photography industry veterans. Our Ace in hole, Nathan Oxley, is the brains behind the technology. Nathan is an electrical engineer and is heading up the tech side of the project along with the manufacturing. Matt Cummins who has 15 years Product Development experience and has taken dozens of products to market. Matt's most recent accomplishments are leading the development of Apples Best of 2013 Photographic App, Intensify and was the lead on several of Nik Software's award winning products. Mornee Sherry is the Biz Dev guru who helped grow and sell 2 photographic software companies the most recent being Nik Software which sold to Google. He is our man with a plan and the connections to take the Lume Cube to market. Finally, Riley Stricklin is the young buck that helps tie up the loose ends and keeps the fire burning. Here's the current state of Affairs....Working Prototype is in HandiPhone App is in DevelopmentManufacturing is in Place - Just need your help for the first run!We are so excited to bring the Lume Cube to photographers and videographers around the world that we are frothing to get started. But we need your help to Manufacture the first batch of Lume Cubes. The funding you help provide will pay for the tooling, packaging design and manufacturing.
