RVCA Pro Junior trophy stays on home ground with Tyler Gunter

The final day of competition at the World Surf League (WSL) RVCA Pro Junior presented by Jack’s Surfboards crowned hometown hero Tyler Gunter (USA) the 2016 Champion in continued, immaculate four-to-six foot conditions at 56th Street Jetty of Newport Beach, California.

Halfpipe podium at Cardrona Games taken by Japanese riders

The final day of the 2016 Cardrona Games staged at Cardrona Alpine Resort near Wanaka, New Zealand featured a strong international contingent, including some home-grown Kiwi talent, competing in the resort's 22ft high Olympic superpipe with Japanese riders standing out with their trick variety and amplitude.

Tyler Wright & Jordy Smith victorious at Swatch Women's Pro & Hurley Pro

Kelly Slater (USA) has won the Billabong Pro Tahiti after defeating John John Florence (HAW) in the Final in eight-to-ten foot surf at Teahupo’o. The final day of competition at Stop No. 7 of 11 on the 2016 Samsung Galaxy World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour (CT) has been treated to incredible performances by the world’s best surfers, culminating with Slater’s win. The Final day saw 35 barrels ridden between the two finalists.

It's official - Skateboarding & Surfing are Olympic Sports!

Surfing and Skateboarding have gained Olympic inclusion and therefore will make their debut at the 2020 Olympic Games to take place in Tokyo from July 24 to August 9. It has been decided yesterday by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Rio de Janeiro for these two sports, along with sport climbing, karate and baseball/softball, to be added to the Olympic program.

Padang local Mega Semadhi wins his second Rip Curl Cup title

In an event dominated by the international invitees, Mega Semadhi was the lone local Indonesian surfer to reach the final of the 2016 Rip Curl Cup at Padang Padang. But when the final horn sounded, it was Mega who came out on top, claiming his second title in the past three times the Ultimate Tuberiding Contest has been held.
