Thousands of enthusiastic fans crowded Detroit’s iconic Hart Plaza amidst cold weather and even occasional snow flurries for the finals of Red Bull Hart Lines – an innovative street skateboarding competition from the mind of Ryan Sheckler. The event features two distinctive lanes each with its own unique set of skateable features, as well as a first-of-its-kind timing element associated with each run. Hart Lines is a flagship event of the Red Bull Signature Series, a collection of the most progressive action sports events in the world.

The 2016 World Surf League (WSL) Australasia Junior Qualifying Series (JQS) Champion has officially been announced as Ethan Ewing. Ewing had a stellar JQS season taking wins in four events of the seven on the calendar.

The 2nd Kimberly Diamond Cup (KDC) Grand Slam of the 2016 season went down at Midway Mayhem at the Kumba Skate Plaza and brought out several local skaters and bus fulls & car loads of skaters from around the country alike for another incredible weekend of skateboarding and camping.

Competitors in the final Subway® Surf Series Pro Junior for 2016, battled through a day of minuscule waves at North Cronulla as Macy Callaghan (Avoca, NSW) claimed the World Surf League (WSL) Australasian Junior Qualifying Series (JQS) title, as well as the Womens event division, while Kehu Butler (NZL) took the win in the Mens division.

Titouan Boyer (MAF), 17, and Ariane Ochoa (EUK), 17, have won the inaugural Junior Pro Biscarrosse in wind-affected two-to-three foot conditions. A marathon final day picked up where we left off on the second day of competition to complete 28 heats of both the men and women’s events.

The second stop of the Skateboarding For Hope Supported By DC Shoes National Tour went down on Saturday, 23 April at Inspired 2 Become Skatepark in the beautiful Cape Town suburb of Somerset West. Heaps of local skaters came out to show support and rip for their share of cash and product prizes.

The winners of the final Slopestyle contest of the Europa Cup tour, also counting as official Swiss nationals, have been named. Elena Koenz and Moritz Thoenen have become the 2016 Swiss Slopestyle national champions and Sofya Federova and Emiliano Lauzi secured the Europa Cup titles.

The final day of the Subway® Surf Series Pro Junior saw an amazing day of action with Ethan Ewing (Point Lookout, Qld) being crowned the 2016 World Surf League (WSL) Australasian Junior Qualifying Series (JQS) Champion and Macy Callaghan (Avoca, NSW) and Harley Ross-Webster (Curl Curl, NSW) taking event victories in the punchy-two foot waves at Port Kembla Beach.

Finally the foggy weather lifted and allowed for the crowning of the World Rookie Tour champions in Ischgl, Austria. Isak Ulstein and Kokomo Murase rode their way to the top spots with some exceptional runs.
Ruling Rookies - Isak Ulstein topped the rankings for the guys, with Brock Crouch and Lyon Farrell landing 2nd and 3rd.
Matt Wilkinson (AUS) has won the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach today, utilizing his electric backhand to best fellow Finalist Jordy Smith (ZAF) in solid six-to-ten foot (2 - 3 metre) waves at the iconic venue in the Australian State of Victoria.

After defeating Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS) in three-to-five foot (1-1.5 metre) waves, Courtney Conlogue (USA) became best surfer at the Rip Curl Women's Pro Bells Beach, the second stop on the 2016 Samsung Galaxy WSL Championship Tour.
