Frederico Morais Wins Hawaiian Pro, Qualifies for 2020 Championship Tour

Portugal’s Frederico Morais (PRT) won the Hawaiian Pro today with sure-footed power surfing and a veteran edge over Leonardo Fioravanti (ITA), Matthew McGillivray (ZAF) and Ethan Ewing (AUS) who placed second, third and fourth respectively in the Final at Haleiwa Ali’i Beach. Today’s victory cements Morais’ status back on the World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour (CT) and the lead on the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing title race. The Hawaiian Pro is the second-to-last Men’s WSL Qualifying Series (QS) 10,000 event and first gem of the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing, which now moves to Sunset Beach for the Vans World Cup of Surfing.

Frederico Morais (PRT) is Number 1 in the Hawaiian Pro and on the QS, Haleiwa, Oahu, Hawaii, Sunday, November 24, 2019.

Oi STU Open 2019 Event Recap

As the first event in the Olympic Qualifying season #2 finished in Rio, we put another one in the books. 2x WSL Champion Tyler Wright to Compete in lululemon Maui Pro 2019

17 months ago, two-time World Surf League (WSL) Champion Tyler Wright (AUS) fell ill in South Africa. Temporarily hospitalized, Wright was forced to pull out of the Corona Open J-Bay and was diagnosed with Influenza A with complications that sidelined her from competition since.

2x World Champion Tyler Wright (AUS) will compete in the lululemon Maui Pro, which opens this Monday, November 25, 2019.

Isabella Nichols Wins Port Stephens Toyota Pro & 2019 Women’s WSL Qualifying Series

Isabella Nichols (AUS) has clinched her first major World Surf League (WSL) Qualifying Series (QS) win, taking out the 2019 Port Stephens Toyota Pro presented by Sisstrevolution QS6,000 at Birubi Beach. Nichols took down fellow Australian Macy Callaghan (AUS) in the 35-minute final where the two went toe-to-toe in clean three-to-four foot waves for the last WSL Women’s QS event of the 2019 season.

A whole week of the finest snowboarding: LAAX OPEN 2020, January 13 - 18

The LAAX OPEN 2020, Europe’s most prestigious snowboarding event, takes place on 13-18 January 2020. Tainá Hinckel wins her 2nd Pro Junior & Piccolo Clemente his 4th Longboard WSL Latin America Title

Two South American Titles for WSL Latin America were decided today at the 2019 Oi Pro Junior Series in Maresias, Brazil. Tainá Hinckel (BRA) won her second regional Pro Junior crown and Piccolo Clemente (PER) won an astonishing 4th regional Longboard title by advancing to the Semifinals on Saturday.

Summer Dew Tour Announces Skateboard Competition and Global Olympic Qualifier Date for 2020

The annual Dew Tour, presented by the Adventure Sports Network Group (ASNG) and MTN DEWⓇ, announced today that it will return to Long Beach, Calif. for its fifth consecutive year, May 7-10, 2020. The FREE four-day event is a celebration of skateboarding competition, culture and creators and will also serve as the final Olympic qualifying event on U.S. soil before the Tokyo Olympics. Skateboarding will be part of the Olympic Games for the first time in Tokyo in 2020 and is being considered for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Next year’s Dew Tour will be held at the Long Beach Convention Center and Rainbow Park Lagoon.

ESPN and REnextop Announce Inaugural X Games Chongli 2020 Winter Event

Following the successful launch of the inaugural X Games Shanghai event this past June, ESPN, the leading action sports content provider and creator of the X Games, and REnextop Entertainment today announced X Games Chongli – the first X Games winter event to be held in China. The event will take place February 21-23 at the Secret Garden ski resort in Chongli district within the city of Zhangjiakou, which will also serve as a 2022 Winter Olympic host venue for ski snowboard events.

Oi STU Open: The biggest skateboarding & urban culture event in Rio de Janeiro

Oi STU Open takes place from November 11th to 17th at Praça Duó in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil.
