Action continued on day two of X Games Aspen 2021, with fans able to catch Jeep Women’s Ski Slopestyle live on ABC, The Real Cost Men’s Ski Big Air on @XGames socials and Monster Energy Women’s Snowboard SuperPipe in primetime on ESPN. The 20th annual event, live from Buttermilk Mountain, is the first-ever with no spectators in attendance.

Action sports made a triumphant return Friday afternoon at Buttermilk Mountain when X Games Aspen 2021 kicked off with Jeep Women’s Snowboard SuperPipe, Women’s Ski Big Air, Wendy’s Snowboard Knuckle Huck and Men’s & Women’s Ski SuperPipe. The 20th annual event in Aspen is the first-ever with no spectators in attendance due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols, but fans can catch all the action on ESPN, ABC and ESPN2, with exclusive web content across @XGames social and XGames.com.

The Laax Open 2021 FIS Snowboard World Cup came to a close on Saturday night with an intense halfpipe competition going down under the Laax lights. And while for the first time ever the shoulders of the pristine Laax pipe were empty of fans, the world’s best pipe riders still put on a dramatic show, with Chloe Kim (USA) making a triumphant return to competition by taking the women’s win, and with Yuto Totsuka putting down an all-or-nothing second run that may have been the best in halfpipe history to take his first Laax Open victory.

In a 2020/21 FIS Snowboard Park & Pipe season where nobody can be quite sure what is going to happen from one day - or even one hour - to the next, the worries of the world were pushed the side for a couple of blissful hours and some of the world’s best slopestyle riders got down to business at the Laax Open 2021, where Jamie Anderson of the USA and Sweden’s Niklas Mattsson walked away victorious from a tough competition.

At the LAAX OPEN 2021, the imposing superpipe at Crap Sogn Gion was in focus today for the women's and men's semi-finals. After months, the top stars of the Halfpipe scene were at the ready for a contest and raring to go. Two-time LAAX OPEN winner Chloe Kim (USA) came out on top in the women's field, while young Valentino Guseli from Australia surprised in the men's.

It’s been over 11 months since the 2019/20 FIS Snowboard halfpipe World Cup wrapped up in Calgary (CAN) last winter, and it pretty obviously goes without saying that it’s a whole new world we’re living in since China’s Cai Xuetong and Scotty James of Australia hoisted the crystal globes as the top World Cup riders of the season.

With the renowned LAAX OPEN, the FIS Snowboard Tour opens the 2020/21 season for Slopestyle and Halfpipe. The multi-award-winning freestyle winter destination LAAX presented itself in its brilliant best light to the World Cup circuit at Crap Sogn Gion: lightning-blue skies, the best snow conditions, the immense pipe and an innovative Slopestyle course. It being precisely this course that was the focus of the contest action today. As winners of today's semi-finals, two-time Olympic Slopestyle champion Jamie Anderson (USA) and Moritz Boll (SUI) are entering the finals on Friday, 22 January 2021 with confidence.

One of the most anticipated weeks on any self-respecting snowboarder’s calendar is upon us, as once again a heavy collection of the world’s best riders have descended upon Switzerland for the legendary Laax Open, where the 2020/21 FIS Snowboard slopestyle and halfpipe World Cup seasons will finally get underway.

For the Parkrats of Schladming Christmas Eve 2020 was a very special one as there was an exciting present hidden under the Christmas Tree. The Superpark Planai & the Funslope opened their doors on the 24th of December, just in time for some Christmas and NYE holiday shreds. The LAAX OPEN 2021 takes place from 19-23 January 2021, kicking off the FIS Snowboard World Cup Tour 2020/2021 in the disciplines Slopestyle and Halfpipe and is endowed with 140,000 CHF prize money. Top-notch, action-pumped sport and lots of excitement are guaranteed at the contests taking place around the Crap Sogn Gion in the women's and men's competitions. This year, audiences can only follow Europe's most renowned snowboard contest in the media.

The season start of the 8th Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY hosted by Blue Tomato and Ride Snowboards will be postponed to the end of February 2021. Under the aegis of the Ästhetiker crew, the VÄLLEY RÄLLEY unites four events for up-and-coming snowboard talents under the roof of the Zillertal. All four tour stops will go down in different Zillertal snowparks, always with one day of coaching and a slopestyle competition day. The new kick-off date is now the 27th and 28th of February, 2021 at the Penken Park in Mayrhofen-Hippach Zillertal.

The 2020/21 FIS Snowboard Park & Pipe World Cup finally got underway on Saturday and did so in a huge way, with a remarkable big air competition going down under near-perfect conditions in Kreischberg (AUT), where Zoi Sadowski-Synott (NZL) and Max Parrot (CAN) walked away the winners from a heavy-hitting competition.

The tune-in schedule for the 20th consecutive X Games Aspen at Buttermilk Mountain is now available at XGames.com. After most major sporting events were put on hold following X Games Norway 2020, athletes will return to the world’s premier action sports competition from January 29-31, televised with live coverage on ESPN, ESPN2, ABC and X Games digital channels. The world’s best will battle it out for a podium spot in Ski and Snowboard competitions.

2020 is coming to an end. And even though no one will miss this year, the end of it brings something amazing: snow! The mountains of Mayrhofen in the Zillertal have been covered in white gold over and over again in the last few weeks and left us dreaming of an early start of the season in the Penken Park.

There’s a XL snowpark right in the wintersport heart of Austria that’s called Kitzbühel. And who thought that Kitzbühel is only about alpine skiing is proven wrong. After all, five areas filled with kickers, jibs and multi features will still everyone’s hunger for freestyle. On top, two well-known events will be the cherry on this seasons cake.
