Surfing Australia’s Talent UNLSHD program has officially launched, bringing together the country’s top under-18 female surfers for the very first National Development Camp. Four days. High-performance training. One shared goal for progression. PUMPING CLOUDBREAK: Strike Mission "The best waves I've ever seen in my life" – Maverick Wilson Not your average training camp. A strike mission. Consequential surf. Skill refinement. 3 goofy footers on the trip of their dreams. Fiji delivered. 15ft, and 5x overhead at Cloudbreak. Strike mission of the year! Harley Walters, Maverick Wilson, and Samuel Lowe got exactly what they were searching for. The focus areas were clear. Forehand turns and tube riding. Decision-making at speed. Real reps in real conditions, guided by ex- CT Surfer and now HPP Program Coach, Wade Carmichael, with insight Jacob Wilcox. The Surfing Australia High Performance Program is built to develop not only world-class surfers, but well-rounded individuals capable of sustaining long-term careers at the top of the sport. Within that structure, the Pathway Program plays a critical role in identifying athletes under 22 with Olympic potential and accelerating their progression through exposure, experience and targeted development. Each surfer operates within an Individual Performance Plan (IPP), aligning technical goals with competition strategy and personal growth. Camps like this are where those plans are pressure-tested. Fiji doesn’t offer easy outcomes. It sharpens talent and exposes what can be improved.
