40 Years of DHD — The Collection Has Landed Forty years in the dust and foam and Darren Handley’s still swinging a planer like it’s a Les Paul. To celebrate his 40yrs in the shaping bay, DHD are turning the volume up to deliver 40 hand-shaped surfboards straight outta ’93 — longer lines, psycho rocker, and stubborn glass-on fins. Each one’s numbered, signed, and begging to be taken for a dawny that ends in a dingy car-park sing-along. The Hits 40/40 Boards – single-session masterpieces from DH’s own hands; no CNC, no shortcuts, just raw rail-line magic. Skull & Tribal Threads – tees, hoods, and caps sporting Darren’s OG logos from the era when flannel, waxed hair, and VHS surf vids ruled. Faded Bone & Black Wash – colours ripped from sun-blasted tailpads and beer-soaked band tees. Four decades, 100,000+ boards shaped, 11 world titles, 16 Bells, 2 Stab in the Dark scalps — sure, it’s a solid résumé. But this line isn’t about the trophy case. It’s about riding, repairing, and riding again. Forty boards, limited gear. Grab one and keep the ’90s rolling. This is a tribute to four decades of hard work, innovation, and dedication to the craft of making boards that perform at the highest level. This one’s for the history books.
