Boardmasters Surf Open - Day 2 at Boardmasters 2025 Day 2 wrapped up at the Boardmasters Surf Open after no less than 32 heats in solid conditions at Fistral Beach. With a variable wind, and a consistent, long-period swell, the world’s best took to the water with spectacular flair. Standouts were again the local boy and defending 2024 champ Lukas Skinner, as well as Portuguese olympian Yolanda Hopkins. In the women’s event, British hopes were kept alive by Alys Barton, who held on to an advancing place after one of the most exciting heat finishes of the event so far. Elsewhere, among the international surfers, Spain’s Sean Gunning and France’s Sam Piter and Noa Ledee led the charge into the Round of 16 for the men’s, while Basque Country sisters Janire and Annette Gonzalez-Extabarri looked impressive in the women’s. With conditions set to keep firing throughout the week, all looks to be in place for another epic finish to both QS events this weekend!

AFTERMOVIE - Deutsche Meisterschaften 2024 #SurfDM24 The German Surf Championships 2024 have made history - over 10,000 fans watched the exciting finals live in Hallbergmoos and thousands more were there in the livestream as Germany's best surfers fought for the title in the Open category! In the Women's Final, Camilla Kemp, Germany's first Olympic surfer for Paris 2024, prevailed with impressive skill. Camilla inspires women in surfing and shows how Munich has become an ideal training facility for this sport as a surfing hotspot. Winners - Shortboard Open Women: 🥇 Camilla Kemp (German Champion 2024) 🥈 Rachel Presti 🥉 Lisa Boos 4th place: Valeska Schneider In the Open Men, Leon Glatzer and Tim Elter delivered a thrilling showdown. Leon, who was the first German surfer to compete at the 2021 Olympic Games, prevailed and won the title of German Champion 2024. 🥇 Leon Glatzer (German Champion 2024) 🥈 Tim Elter 🥉 Lenni Jensen 4th place: Finn Springborn The championships also set an important sign for the future of surfing - the inclusion of para-surfing as well as the disciplines of stand-up paddling (SUP) and longboard in a wave pool for the first time shows that surfing can be accessible to everyone, regardless of age, gender or physical limitations - a world premiere on German soil.
