The 2019/20 big air World Cup season went into the history books on Saturday night at Sun Trust Park, the home of Major League baseball’s Atlanta Braves, where Japan’s Reira Iwabuchi put an exclamation point on her second-straight big air crystal globe-season with a victory, and the USA’s own Chris Corning stomped a final-run quad cork 1800 to make history, win the event, and walk away with the seventh crystal globe of his career.

This Dec. 20-21, Atlanta’s SunTrust Park will transform into a ski and snowboard destination for the Visa Big Air presented by Land Rover. We're not talking about a chairlift serviced resort, or a powder-filled backcountry peak, however, but rather a 15-story steel structure covered in snow featuring a massive kicker designed to launch the world’s best freeskiers and snowboarders for international World Cup big air competition.

Visa Big Air Coming to SunTrust Park, Home of the Atlanta Braves

In partnership with the Atlanta Braves, U.S. Ski & Snowboard will host the Visa Big Air Presented by Land Rover at SunTrust Park Dec. 20-21. The event will be sanctioned as a FIS Snowboard and Freeski World Cup and will offer elite international men’s and women’s big air competition.

The Visa Big Air Presented by Land Rover is part of a multi-year commitment by U.S. Ski & Snowboard to bring big air events to the masses in breathtaking new environments by hosting one city big air event per season leading into the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022.
