Integrating skateboarding into the school curriculum | Canterbury Skate Project We had the pleasure of catching up with Mr. Wall from The Canterbury Academy Trust, a passionate advocate for integrating skateboarding into his school’s curriculum. Students get the unique experience of diving into skateboarding history, building their own boards, creating custom artwork, and hearing from inspiring guest speakers, including the legendary Mike Vallely. They also help design and construct skateable forms, and best of all, they get to skate during lunch breaks and after school; with access to the school’s very own indoor mini-ramp and outdoor concrete slab. The students really are living every young skater’s dream. A massive shoutout to the Canterbury Skate Project for making this incredible initiative a reality. It’s amazing to see educators reimagining what’s possible within the UK’s mainstream education system!
