Lundy... Good... A Surf Edit by Maddie Meddings. Finisterre Ambassador Mike Lay is joined by architect Jacob Down and artist Holly Bendall, as they share waves on the shores of Lundy - the Shipping Forecast area that runs along Cornwall's north-facing coastline. Taking advantage of fair winds and a favourable forecast, the crew set out to make the most of the impossibly blue Atlantic waters at the westernmost edge of the land. The Porthmeor Longboard Classic 2022 The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines the word ‘surfable’ as, quite simply, ‘being suitable for surfing’. Here at the BLU, our much more empirical definition is to chuck the frothy groms in to see if they can catch waves, before deciding whether to bin the whole thing and go to the pub. Thanks to the youthful dedication of the U16 Cadets, and in spite of all the laws of physics, man and the heavens and a blind refusal to accept defeat, we had us a Porthmeor Longboard Classic 2022!
