Boardmasters Open 2024 | Day Three Highlights Day three at Boardmasters provided us with some great action in the Wild West Jerky Longboard and BYD Pro series. Chunky sets saw the female longboarders enter the water in the morning with great performances from Mali Harbour, Lola Bleakely, Emilie Currie and Beth Leighfield which saw them go through to the semi finals. Meanwhile, in the Mens Longboard, Arthur Randell progressed into the quarter finals with the seeded round for day four. The women's QS saw amazing surfing from Annette Gonzalez Etxabarri and Tya Zebrowski (who is 14 and the current under 16 European Champion) seeing them through to the semi finals. The Open Men's QS followed the women who both surfed twice today. The competition saw outstanding performances from Patrick Langdon-Dark which comfortably saw him progres through to the Quarter Finals. Arran Strong got pipped to the post leaving Lukas Skinner and Noah Capps in Heat 4 to fight for the final places in the Quarter finals. Lukas Skinner then put on an amazing performance in the final heat of the day in the Quarters seeing him through to the semis tomorrow. Today promises more action-packed surfing as we head into the final heats of the Boardmasters Open 2024. See you at the beach. Boardmasters Open 2024 | Day One Highlights The first day of the Boardmasters Open saw a long day of surfing down at Fistral beach with strong conditions with a solid 4-6 foot swell. We kicked things off with the Men's BYD Pro with great performances from the British contingency with 8 British surfers progressing including Lukas Skinner and Patrick Langdon-Dark. With the best conditions of the day, the Women's BYD Pro followed with the pushing tide and lovely 4 foot glassy waves. Standards were high making full use of the conditions with Tya Zebrowski (current under 16 European Champion) taking the highest score of the day. Day 2 of the Boardmasters Open is ON. The first Wild West Jerky Longboard Pro surfers in the water.
