X Games Foz do Iguaçu 2013 Skateboard Big Air: X GAMES THROWBACK | World of X Games Flashback to April 18, 2013. X Games has gone global and after winter stops in Aspen and Tignes, we dipped down to Brazil for X Games Foz do Iguaçu 2013. On day one, young guns and seasoned veterans produced a Skateboard Big Air show for the ages in Brazil. And in the end, Brazil's own Bob Burnquist draped yet another Big Air gold medal around his neck for the discipline's first three-peat. "We've had these MegaRamp events here, and I've gotten wins here, but, this was unique," Burnquist said. "I'm really stoked. And to do it here at home, as the first main X Games … I can't ask for anything better." An on-point Elliot Sloan claimed silver. Australia's 38-year-old Jake Brown took home the bronze medal, along the way penning a new page in the history books with skateboarding's first 720 ollie. Experimental Session at the T.F. Skateboarding in some forms is definitely a sport. Big Contests like the X Games, and Street League have insured that some basic principals of sport are used to judge a very individualized set of Skate skills. In order to be one of the top Competitive Skaters or just the best Skater you can be, you’ve got to put in the hours. Training Facilities are pretty commonplace in the Skate World right now and years ago Monster Energy Skater Danny Way influenced and co-designed one of the most ground breaking Vert Ramps in Skate History, “The DC Ramp”. Competitions, Training, Sports...All of those things are great but at the end of a good session what you really remember is how many of your buddies were there and what tricks went down.
