Corvatsch AG is happy to announce the dates for the FIS Freeski & Snowboard World Cup at Corvatsch Park in Silvaplana near St. Moritz, Switzerland. The 9th edition of the event is scheduled for March 25th – 27th, 2022.

The LAAX OPEN is Europe's most important snowboard event: Since 2005, the January OPEN event in LAAX, Switzerland, has been a living freestyle lifestyle, melding contest with culture. Since 2017, it has been part of the FIS Snowboard World Cup circuit and is considered by numerous riders and teams there as the top favourite event. The OPEN also plays an outstanding role in the media and sets specific standards in reporting.

ESPN X Games announced today that X Games Aspen 2022 will return to Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen Snowmass with 100 of the world’s best action sports athletes competing in 14 disciplines from Jan. 21-23. For the 21st consecutive year, Buttermilk will host X Games Aspen for 13.5 hours of live coverage on ESPN and ABC and will be presented across the globe through international syndication partners. The annual winter Dew Tour to be held at Copper Mountain this December 16-19 – will serve as a U.S. Ski & Snowboard Olympic qualifying event for men’s and women’s halfpipe and slopestyle snowboarding and freeskiing competitions. It is the second year the Winter Dew Tour will be held at Copper Mountain, after hosting a successful event at the resort in 2020.

The 2021/22 FIS Snowboard World Cup season officially got underway on Saturday at a brand new venue that seems destined to be a highlight stop on the circuit for years to come, as a massive, pumped-up crowd was on hand to watch Kokomo Murase (JPN) and Jonas Boesiger (SUI) claim the first World Cup victories of their careers at the Big Air Chur.
