2020 Ursus Rookie Fest: Time is almost up for Early Birds!

For the first time ever the Black Yeti and its crew will land in Madonna di Campiglio, Italy. It is one of the most prestigious ski resorts in the Alps, surrounded by the beautiful Brenta Dolomites, from March the 15th to the 19th, 2020.

All WRT riders and crew will be accommodated together in a 3-star hotel at walking distance from Grostè gondola to ensure a great experience in Madonna di Campiglio. All-inclusive packages, including 4 nights in 3-star hotel half-board, 3 days lift tickets, at 470€ for riders and 445€ for coach and parents. The extra cost for a single room: 15€ per night. To celebrate the new location of the event, an Early Bird discount of 30€ per rider is offered to all-inclusive bookings received and paid the latest by February 20th, 2020.

With a slopestyle contest, open to both snowboarders than freeskiers, the high-quality Ursus Snowpark will welcome competitors in 3 lines with more than 40 obstacles and 100.000 square meters freestyle playground. The event will award both World Rookie Tour points than FIS Junior points.

In addition to the high-quality slopestyle competition, Ursus Rookie Fest will also offer a unique lifestyle program aside: all riders will get free access to the Freestyle Academy Training Center to try parkour, gymnastics, climbing, and skateboarding. Also, the program will include a film premieres for the “2019 World Rookie Tour tv show”, a Freeride Safety Clinic by ARVA, and many dinners and parties to meet other riders from the all over the world.

All the podium winners from World Rookie Fest slopestyle, snowboard, and freeski, male and female, grom and rookie, will be qualified for the 2020 World Rookie Finals. Furthermore, the best riders of the event will be crowned and celebrated with prestigious awards: 4 all-inclusive tickets for the 2020 World Rookie Finals (2 for snowboard Finals in Kaprun - Austria and 2 for freeski in Seiser Alm - Italy), 2 tickets to the 2020 Rookie Shooting, 6 surf camps in Santander by Surftolive.com and other prizes offered by other WRT sponsors: Volkl, Marker, Union Binding, ARVA, Level, Jail Jam, Arva and TSG.

2019/2020 World Rookie Tour events are reserved for Rookies (born from 1st of January 2002 to 31st of December 2004) and Groms (born from 1st of January 2005 and up), both male and female. All contests in the World Rookie Tour will generate valuable results for the World Rookie Rank.

About World Rookie Tour

The WRT is organized by the Black Yeti company in collaboration with International and National Sports Associations. It consists of a selection of high quality International events, in snowboard, freeski and skateboard, the so called “Rookie Fests”, reserved for riders under 18’s only, in Europe, North and South America, Oceania and Asia. The World Rookie Tour consists not only of competitions: it also features loads of other activities to help rookies in their personal and athlete grow, such as photo & video shootings, avalanche and rescue clinics, meetings with photographers and international team managers, parties and English talks. Since the foundation in 2005 it awards tickets to world class events such as The Arctic Challenge, The Air & Style, the X Games, the Audi Nines, Red Bull Roller Coaster, Simple Session, Mystic Cup, invitations to professional photo & video shootings, and freeride trip in Southern Hemisphere.
