The Vans Shop Riot has changed its format a bit to keep the event spicy. The finals will not be in autumn but spring of 2025 and the team challenges and fun parts got enhanced. To get you ready for the Shop Riot series, we’ll send Joscha Aicher to present all the winners of each stop, starting with Venero from Barcelona, who already won the Shop Riot three times (including last year) and qualified again last weekend at the Shop Riot in Spain.

LOVE Park Malmö: Grand Opening Weekend with Oski, Heitor, Mark Suciu, Fred Gall & more

The legendary LOVE Park in Philadelphia got torn down years ago. After 7 years of process, original parts of it now got rebuilt in Malmö, Sweden. Last weekend marked its opening and under the umbrella of this happening way more went down in the Swedish city. Oskar Rozenberg celebrated his new Nike SB Dunk with a session at Stapelbäddsparken, Poetic Collective invited for a session to Svampen Plaza and lots of legends from Philadelphia & all around the world came together for one of the most impactful weekends in modern skateboarding culture.

Mark Suciu in Stuttgart – Learning German and looking at spots | SOLO

We were working on an article with Mark Suciu for our recent issue while by chance it happened that Beirut played their first gig in years in Berlin which Mark did not want to miss out on. That’s why he flew over to Germany and planned to later on go skiing in Switzerland with his friend Ian from Coureur skate shop, who joined him on the trip. In between it fit perfectly to go filming with Torsten Frank and shoot some more photos for the article in Stuttgart. So we also booked a train ticket and spent two days with Mark who unfortunately arrived in town with a fewer and was greated by rain. But in the end it all worked out and we used the rained out day to look for some Lem spots and improve Mark’s German language skills.

Rune Glifberg: Legendary Vert Skater turned Analog Photographer

We went on a morning-photo-stroll through Milan with Rune Glifberg, to go check out a local photo book store, snap a few analog photos and find out about his personal journey in photography along the way. Rune makes the best use of his time on the road with Monster Energy by getting up earlier than everybody else and experiencing the city through the lens of his Leica, Hasselblad & Mamiya as well as shooting his own style of skate imagery alongside the professional skate photographers and filmers on the session. Looking for perfection in Bordeaux with Léo Cholet | SOLO
