About

Foundation info: Pushing Myanmar was born out of a Make Life Skate Life project to construct the first free-of-charge community-built international standard skatepark in Yangon, Myanmar (Burma). The 400 m² concrete skatepark was constructed over a 3 week period in December 2015, led by a team of over 30 volunteer skatepark builders from 15 countries around the world who worked with local skateboarders to teach them about concrete skatepark construction.
Since the parks completion, an on-site equipment loaner system has been established to allow youth free access to skateboards, safety gear, and skate shoes, regardless of economic standing.
