Jett Schilling threw a big full rotation in the dying seconds of his heat to advance, earning him the highest-scored Men’s wave of the competition (8.67) Alyssa Spencer put together a near-excellent heat total of 15.77, matching Schilling’s 8.67. Meanwhile, interference issues continued into Day 3 after Caio Ibelli made a non-priority move against Morgan Cibilic, leaving the door open for the Australian who currently sits right above the bubble. Two of the Top 5 bowed out, leaving Zeke Lau’s qualification dreams to come down to Haleiwa.

Saquarema will give the top Challenger Series surfers a true test. As they near Championship Tour qualification, they’ll have to prove their skills against their future competitors in a heat draw featuring Gabriel Medina, Samuel Pupo, Jadson Andre, and more.
