CORVATSCH EUROPEAN CUP SLOPESTYLE CLOSES 2020 ON A HIGH NOTE

While we wait for the FIS Snowboard Park & Pipe World Cup to get back to action in Kreischberg (AUT) in the new year, there was some good news out of Switzerland today where Corvatsch played host to an Audi Snowboard Series European Cup slopestyle competition in the resort’s famed terrain park. While it was something of a “pop-up” event due to covid-related uncertainties with regional authorities, in the end the event was allowed to proceed after some diligent work from the Swiss Snowboard contingent, with athletes from 16 nations represented and some exceptional riding going down throughout the day.

THE FREESTYLE TOURS WILL TAKE PLACE IN JANUARY, BUT WITHOUT THE U-16 AND OPEN CATEGORIES

Due to the current development of the Covid-19 and the conditions imposed by the Confederation, U16 events as well as recreational sport will not be able to take place in December and January. Even so, you will be able to see some action, as the FIS and European Cup competitions will take place as scheduled.

Great news for Audi Snowboard Series - it's a green light for the season opening event at Glacier 3000. It's officially confirmed!

The participants in the Audi Snowboard Series and Swiss Freeski Tour can breathe a sigh of relief: The authorities gave the go-ahead for the tour to start on Glacier 3000 from 25 - 27 November 2020.

The Audi Snowboard Series and Swiss Freeski Tour season cannot be continued

On Friday, the Federal Council informed about the maintenance of the prohibition of events and made it even stricter. From now on not only events with more than 1000 participants are affected, but all events with more than 100 people. Therefore, all further events on the occasion of the Audi Snowboard Series and the Swiss Freeski Tour cannot be held.

Riders from all over the globe gear up for the most prestigious snowboard contest in the Alps, the LAAX OPEN 2020. Around 200 professional snowboarders will inaugurate the new decade participating in the FIS Snowboard World Cup from January 13 to 18, 2020 in LAAX, Switzerland.
