Association info: The aims of the Malta Street Sport Association shall be to use street sport as a tool to help youth stay away from all sorts of addictions, namely drugs, alcohol, corruption, etc. The organisation will also promote and educate people on how to use Street sport to participate in physical activity which will help them in living a healthy lifestyle. We will also be using our knowledge to promote and push the sports that fall under street sport, so such sports become more popular and available to youth.

URBAN SPORTS FESTIVAL 2024 The Urban Street Sports Festival 2024 was three days of adrenaline-pumping action, friendly competition, and incredible community spirit at the Birzebbuga skatepark. From BMX to Skateboarding, Parkour to Scooter, Breaking to 3×3 Basketball, this year’s festival was a true showcase of Malta’s growing street sports scene. Athletes of all levels competed across various disciplines, demonstrating skill, passion, and dedication that made the festival a resounding success. Thank you all for making this possible. Pump It Project Video The Pump It project, launched in 2024 by Move Malta and The Malta Street Sport Alliance, has been a groundbreaking initiative that brought street sports to the forefront of community engagement across Malta. Through a series of dynamic street sport shows and workshops throughout the year, the project showcased the vibrancy, talent, and potential of Malta’s street sport scene while inspiring communities to embrace a healthier, more active lifestyle. Here are our policy recommodations gathered from the youth through out the project: Co-Create Cities with Young People, Involve young people in city planning Prioritise infrastructure for active lifestyles Strengthen partnerships with NGOs to revitalise public spaces A Year of Unforgettable Events Pump It transformed public spaces into arenas of energy and connection. Across Malta, we organized events that featured thrilling demonstrations and interactive sessions in BMX, skateboarding, scooter riding, parkour, street basketball, and more. Here are some highlights from our journey. Pump it is Co-funded by the European Union.

MSSA x MSA at Sience in the City 2022 We where invited with MSA to the 2022 Sience in the City at Fort Saint Elmo to give a street sport show and also show the physics behind the moves we do on our ramps. Unfortunatley we didnt get to do the show we were planning to do due to the rain but never the less, we managed to get a session in and show what could have been! We hope that next year we can come back and put on a show!
