Not long to go: 2019 World Rookie Skateboarding Finals

After a season of skateboard rookie fests all around Europe everything is ready for “Le Grand Finale" in Lisbon/Cascais, Portugal, September 13 - 15 where the first ever World Rookie Skateboarding Champion will be crowed. Registrations are now open, hurry up to secure your spot in the final!

The Black Yeti travelled through Europe this summer and found in the beautiful city of Cascais in Portugal, the best location to host the first ever World Rookie Skateboarding Finals. Now the top skateboarders from the previous events, coach and families are preparing their trip to sunny Portugal, well known for it’s delicious fish dishes, unique city light, astonishing monuments & culture, plus some of the best european surf spots, where Lisbon and Cascais will host the World Rookie Tour Skateboard's finals, from September the 13th with the warm-up, to the 15th for the super finals.

Riders from all over Europe will come at the WRT Finals for a unique sports and lifestyle experience in a great international scenario. The program of 2019 World Rookie Skateboard Finals includes many lifestyle activities: chill & grill evenings, printer workshop and surf lessons will take place during the weekend.

In the World Rookie Skateboarding finals the riders can win incredible prizes: a wildcard to the 2020 Red Bull Roller Coaster (Munich, Germany, June 2020), a ticket to the 2020 Simple Session (Tallin, Estonia, February 2020) and a ticket to the 2020 Mystic Sk8 Cup (Prague, Czech Republic, June 2020). The best skaters from the finals will be invited to the World Rookie Shooting which will happen in Munich, Germany, in June 2020, and many other prizes offered by our tour sponsors Jart Skateboard, TSG Protection, Jail Jam headwear.

If you are skater and if your dream is to start a professional carrier, then Lisbon/Cascais, Portugal is the place to be from Sept. the 13th to Sept. the 15th 2019.

IMPORTANT: QUALIFYING CRITERIA TO THE 2019 WORLD ROOKIE SKATEBOARDING FINALS (WHO CAN JOIN THE FINALS)

- Riders, male and female, born 1st January 1998 and younger are admitted.
- Riders will be divided in 2 age groups: born before/after 2005.
- The top 3 riders, both male and female, Rookie and Grom, from the previous World Rookie Tour SK8 stops in Milano, Les 2 Alpes, Bolzen and Zurich, are already qualified to the super finals of the World Rookie Skateboard Finals scheduled on Sunday the 15th September.
- All other riders can take part in the open qualifications on Saturday 14.09.2019 to get their spot for the the Super Finals on Sunday 15.09.2019

ABOUT THE WORLD ROOKIE TOUR
The World Rookie Tour is organized by the Black Yeti ssrl in collaboration with World Snowboard Federation, National Snowboard and Ski Associations and selected action sport agencies. It was born in 2005 as a series of youth snowboard event and it consists now of a selection of high quality International events for snowboard, freeski and skateboard, the so called “Rookie Fests”, reserved for riders under 18’s only, in Europe, North and South America, Oceania and Asia. The World Rookie Tour consists not only of competitions: it also features loads of other activities to help rookies to grow in the field of professional action sports, such as photo & video shootings, avalanche and rescue clinics, meetings with photographers and international team managers, parties and English talks. Since year zero it awards tickets to world class events such as X Games Norway, Audi Nines, The Arctic Challenge, The Air & Style, The World Snowboarding Championships, invitations to professional photo & video shootings, and shooting trip all around the world. Every year the tour crowns the World Rookie Champion at the end of season, at the World Rookie Finals, a unique event where the best youngsters from almost 30 countries compete and have fun. ABOUT BLACK YETI ssd
The Black Yeti is an amateur sport club dedicated to the realization of snowboard, freeski and skateboard projects for boys and girls up to 18 years of age, in Italy and abroad. One of the most successful project is the World Rookie Tour, the biggest and the most famous tour in the action sports world that attracts 2.000 young athletes from 30 nations to the events called “Rookie Fest”, organized all over the world: Italy, Europe, North and South America, Oceania and Asia. The Rookie Fests program includes not only the competition but also many side activities such as avalanche and rescue clinics, workshops and English talks.
