Black Yeti Announces 2020 Ursus Rookie Fest

For the first time ever the Black Yeti and its crew will land in Madonna di Campiglio, one of the most prestigious European ski resorts, surrounded by the beautiful Brenta Dolomites, from March the 15th to the 19th, 2020. With a slopestyle contest, open to both snowboarders than freeskiers, the high-quality Ursus Snowpark will welcome the participants in 3 lines with more than 40 obstacles in 50.000 square meters and tons of snow. The event will award both World Rookie Tour points than FIS Junior points.

A special deal in a selected 3 stars hotel, at walking distance from Grostè gondola and where all riders and crew will be accommodated together, is available for WRT teams to ensure a great experience in Madonna di Campiglio. All-inclusive packages, including 4 nights in 3-star hotel half-board, 3 days lift tickets, at 470€ for riders and 445€ for coach and parents. The extra cost for a single room: 15€ per night. To celebrate the new location of the event, an Early Bird discount of 30€ per rider is offered to all-inclusive bookings received and paid the latest by February 20th, 2020.

NOTE: for organizational reasons, the event is limited to a maximum number of 60 riders per discipline. So hurry up to secure your spot!

In addition to the high-quality slopestyle competition, Ursus Rookie Fest will also offer a unique lifestyle program aside: all riders will get free access to the Freestyle Academy Training Center to try parkour, gymnastics, climbing, and skateboarding. Also, the program will include a film premieres for the “ 2019 World Rookie Tour tv show”, a Freeride Safety Clinic by ARVA, and many dinners and parties to meet other riders from the all over the world.

All the podium winners from World Rookie Fest slopestyle, snowboard, and freeski, male and female, grom and rookie, will be qualified for the 2020 World Rookie Finals. Furthermore, the best riders of the event will be crowned and celebrated with prestigious awards: 4 all-inclusive tickets for the 2020 World Rookie Finals (2 for snowboard Finals in Kaprun - Austria and 2 for freeski in Seiser Alm - Italy), 2 tickets to the 2020 Rookie Shooting, 6 surf camps in Santander by Surftolive.com and other prizes offered by other WRT sponsors: Volkl, Marker, Union Binding, ARVA, Level, Jail Jam, Arva and TSG.

Dolomites Freeski Rookie Experience

Dolomites Freeski Rookie Experience includes 3 freeski event in a raw throughout the Dolomites starting from Madonna di Campiglio (15.19 March). After the Urusu, the crew will move to Kronplatz (20.22 March) and then to the World Rookie Freeski Finals in Seiser Alm (23.27 March). A unique chance to travel in 3 world-class ski resorts across the Dolomites, Unesco Heritage, and shred in 3 premium international snowparks.

Due to the lack of snow in Bulgaria, the Balkan Rookie Fest planned to take place in Sofia from February 13th -16th, 2020 will not happen this year.

2019/2020 World Rookie Tour events are reserved for Rookies (born from 1st of January 2002 to 31st of December 2004) and Groms (born from 1st of January 2005 and up), both male and female. All contests in the World Rookie Tour will generate valuable results for the World Rookie Rank.
