It’s all about providing an info-hub where links can be easily found and shared, in a way that’s truly breaking borders. Think of it as a worldwide meeting point for all things ‘board’, which helps direct you out to all the epic sources, groups, media, shops and companies around the web. At the same time, it’s a fun and quirky space to keep all you super stoked peeps in the loop about news, events, amazing developments and much more.
So whatever you’re looking to find out about - be it cool spots, the latest boards, trick tips or a movie to chill with - you’ll find links to what you need here. It’s guaranteed to create a smooth easy life, and make riding an even bigger part of your world. So there’s plenty of reason to visit often!
Get involved to help build Boardriding.com into the epic space it’s started to be. You can get in touch above!
And by this, we mean any of you who ride the wave of passion for these three sports - not just riders!!
This is also the place for you if you’re into any of the other vitally important aspects that make up our awesome Boardriding world. So that includes all you photographers, filmmakers, shapers, surf house owners, urban artists, skateboard companies… and any other way that you might be directly connected.
It also includes links to the realms of brands, shops, courses, associations, and good causes, thus creating the ultimate independent space to unite all those with an interest in surf, skate or snow.
So, it’s here for anyone around the world who’s fallen hard for the obsession – with the aim of providing a super slick way for you all to connect.
Essentially, it’s all about connections. The portal features 15 linked databases which connect you to thousands of spots, local businesses, global brands, and online shops. You can access a detailed directory of pro-riders, organisations, foundations, photographers, film producers, media, apps, tricks and so on. And the best thing is you can personalise the content you see in your profile, by choosing your favourite brands, spots and pros etc. You make it your Boardriding space – an extension of everything you love and feel makes up your riding world.
Here are the key things it’ll help you do:
The cool thing is, potentially it’s YOU! But we’ll get round to that…
It started with an idea to create a Facebook page to spread the awesomeness of Boardriding around the world, but it quickly developed into the beginnings of the site and database you see before you. So it’s gone from a couple of dudes with a desire to inspire fellow fans, to being the epic project that you’ve just been viewing… and the Facebook page still keeps growing!
The site evolves daily, as collective users add videos, leave reviews, engage with others and indulge in their passion – whether it’s surf photography, skate wear or pulling off the latest sick trick. So it’s constantly developing. Obviously there’s a dedicated young team buzzing in the background to keep things rolling, but really this is everybody’s place… whether you choose just to use the info, or wanna get deeper into the vibe, by sharing and editing.
For those of you after more concrete evidence of BRS’s existence, check our ‘in touch’ page… in case you’re wondering if we’re actually legit!
The aim is for the portal to eventually be a sick source of ‘know’ for all Boardriding fans everywhere!! So, if there’s not much coverage for your area yet, apologies – we’re still very young! But, if you wanna share your insider info, jump on!
There’s lots of opportunity for you to help shape the content and direction of Boardriding.com and use your talent to guide and shine. By becoming admin you can tune up any section you have the missing information for. Or, you can connect further and become an ambassador for your ‘local spot’ - the idea being that you look after and develop it for you and your community. So, you might take responsibility by logging features, uploading pics or sharing event info - specifically for that spot - so everyone in your area can easily see what’s going down.
It’ll help everyone out, and could also land you some neat Boardriding merchandise as a massive thank you (see the BRS Stuff section for examples).
So, grab your gear guys and get on board!
