Registrations are open for the 2025 World Rookie Skateboard Finals in Velenje, Slovenia!

From September 26th to 28th, 2025, the spotlight of youth skateboarding will land in Velenje, Slovenia, for the World Rookie Skateboard Finals 2025. For the first time, the Finals will be hosted at the legendary Urbani Park Velenje, the largest skatepark in Slovenia, where the world's best young skaters will battle for the title of World Rookie Champion.

Organisers Skate Slovenia and Rdeca Dvorana Velenje will host the best young skaters from Europe, Asia and the US. Don’t worry, there are still other events in Europe and Asia to qualify for the Finals (follow the WRT Calendar online), but from today registrations for the Finals are officially open!

The largest skatepark in Slovenia (Urbani Park Velenje) was built and designed by one of the best Slovenian skaters, Chris Khan, who also created the skatepark for the World Cup Skateboarding contest O Marisquino in Vigo this year. And since we mentioned it: this year’s Finals will also count as a World Cup Skateboarding event, where all participants will receive WCS ranking points.

The skatepark is open and free of charge every day in case anyone decides to come earlier.

In this unique scenario the World Rookie Skateboard Champions 2025 will be crowned and incredible prizes will be awarded: wildcards to international top events like the Mystic Sk8 Cup 2026 and other World Cup Skateboarding contests, invitations to a special Red Bull Experience, plus many products from our partners Blue Tomato, TSG and more. The event will also be broadcast live – link will follow.

Who can join?

• Rookies: born 2006–2009 (boys and girls)

• Groms: born 2010 and younger (boys)

• Qualified riders include:

o The top 3 podium finishers from every WRT stop

o The top 10 ranked riders by September 24th

o National quota spots (send an email to registration@worldrookietour.com showing your skills)

o Wildcards assigned by the OC

Important: Every rider, even those already qualified, must send their registration form to confirm participation.

Registration packages

• Skater Package – €105: entry fee, meals on site (Friday dinner, Saturday lunch + dinner), goodie bag.

• Coach/Parent Package – €45: meals on site (Friday dinner, Saturday lunch + dinner).

Payment is cash only on site.

NB: participants who are aware that they may encounter difficulties in making cash payments in euros (for example, participants travelling from outside Europe) are kindly requested to contact the organisation in advance by email to iztok@wcsk8.com in order to receive the bank details for payment via wire transfer. All other participants are required to ensure they arrive with the necessary cash to avoid any inconvenience at the time of registration.
