Grom Patrol 2025 Grand Final Wraps with Stunning Surf and Young Champions

Under sunny skies and glassy shoulder-high sets, Bali’s famed break delivered the perfect stage for a day of fearless performances and heartwarming moments that showcased the depth of young talent across the region.

In the Under-12 division, Bali’s Wayan Navarang delivered a relentless display of surfing, charging every wave with fearless commitment from elimination round to clinch his first Grom Patrol title. Navarang’s victory drew massive cheers from the crowd, symbolising the rise of Bali’s next generation of champions.

The day’s biggest story, however, was Phillip Duke, who etched his name into Grom Patrol history by claiming both the Under-16 and Under-18 Boys titles. Phillip’s road to victory included a decisive win over event standout Dylan Wilcoxen, whose perfect 10 earlier in the competition had electrified the beach, Dharma Wisesa and new rising talent Kiran Shai Vitt With powerful frontside combinations and razor-sharp rail work, Phillip left his rivals in need of combination scores, asserting his dominance in Bali’s testing Finals Day conditions.

The women’s divisions delivered their own drama as Paris Nalendra achieved a remarkable back-to-back victory, clinching both the Girls’ Under-14 and Under-16 titles. Paris’s precision surfing and competitive mindset made her unstoppable, and she closed the day with an emotional tribute:

“Thank you to my parents who always believed in me—these two wins are dedicated to them and to my amazing sponsors who support my dreams.”

This year’s Grom Patrol not only celebrated outstanding performances in the water but also highlighted the next wave of Asian surf stars, reinforcing Bali’s position as a world-class proving ground for young talent. In a heartwarming gesture, Boardlab awarded six brand-new surfboards to promising young athletes, ensuring that the spirit of Grom Patrol lives on in every future session. Families, friends, and surfers from across the region came together, united by a shared love for the ocean and a belief in the limitless potential of youth.
