<div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa is thrilled to announce <a href="https://www.instagram.com/sierrakerr/" target="_blank">Sierra Kerr</a> as the third entrant in the 2025 edition of the Surfing Champions Trophy, which runs from September 4 to 11. The Australian prodigy will not only become the event’s youngest ever competitor but will also be hoping to follow in the footsteps of her father, <a href="https://www.surfingchampionstrophy.com/index.php?mact=News,cntnt01,detail,0&cntnt01articleid=169&cntnt01origid=180&cntnt01returnid=20" target="_blank">Josh Kerr, who hoisted the trophy in 2018 and 2019</a>, with Sierra watching from the channel.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">“I’ve got so many great memories of the Maldives,” says 18-year-old natural footer Kerr, who grew up between Australia’s Gold Coast and California, and was just 12 when she saw her father take out the event. “I had so much fun enjoying the waves and all the activities with my family. Seeing Dad win the Surfing Champions Trophy was amazing, and I remember saying that I hoped one day I’d surf well enough to be invited myself!”</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">2023 World Junior Champion, Kerr will put away her high-performance equipment for most of the 13th edition of the Surfing Champions Trophy, as competition sees the opening rounds run on single fins and twin fins, before the thruster (tri-fin) division decides the grand-finalists. Adapting on the fly shouldn’t be an issue for multi-sports prodigy Kerr, who is also an incredible skateboarder, and has a golf handicap of eight. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">“I’m super excited by the format,” says Kerr. “I’ve competed on a twin-fin before, but never on a single fin. JS Industries make my thrusters but my dad’s new brand, Draft, will be making my twin fin and single fins, and I can’t wait to ride the best of both worlds!” </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">“Dad taking the event out was so inspiring,” Kerr continues. “No female has ever won the Surfing Champions Trophy before, so it would be so awesome to be the first!” </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Kerr can’t wait to return to Kuda Huraa, not just to surf the flawless rights of Sultans every day but to enjoy all that the island has to offer. “The Four Seasons is the best of the best,” she says. “It’s beautiful, has so many fun activities, and the staff are so kind and helpful. I’m pretty sure they know what you want long before you do!”</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Sierra Kerr joins Australian Craig Anderson and Brazilian Jesse Mendes on the 2025 Surfing Champions Trophy roster, with the final three surfers, including a local Maldivian wildcard, to be revealed in coming weeks. The 2025 Four Seasons Maldives Surfing Champions Trophy will run from September 4 to September 11 at the beautiful Four Seasons Resort at Kuda Huraa. The best place to watch the competition is aboard one of the Four Seasons’ luxury vessels, and the Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa is offering special packages for anyone who’d like to attend.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Keen to enjoy the show?
