<div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Alyssa Spencer </strong>(USA) emerged victorious yesterday at the <a href="https://www.worldsurfleague.com/events/2025/wqs/4996/super-girl-surf-pro" target="_blank">Super Girl Surf Pro Presented by Jersey Mike’s Subs</a>, a World Surf League (WSL) Qualifying Series (QS) 2,000-level event, in challenging conditions. This marks Spencer's second Super Girl victory in Jacksonville Beach and a historic third overall win after besting the youngest Super Girl Surf Pro victor <strong>Eden Walla</strong> (USA). The win moves Spencer to No. 1 on the North America region with her second QS win of the 2025/2026 season. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Another incredible career milestone for <strong>Alyssa Spencer </strong>(USA) now includes a third Super Girl Surf Pro victory, the first to do so at the QS level, and matching <strong>Coco Ho</strong> (HAW) for overall Super Girl capes. This marks the former Championship Tour (CT) competitor Spencer's ninth QS victory after also claiming the La Marginal Surfing Pro win on November 2 over <strong>Eden Walla</strong> (USA). </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">"I'm just always trying to have fun. I love surfing so much, and having fun is what it's all about," said Spencer. "I would just say thank you so much [to Coco Ho] for all the inspiration that she gave me. It's really special to have my name right there next to hers as the only two girls to have won three. I came close in Oceanside, and I really wanted to get it here, so I'm so grateful it happened. I miss my family and thank you to my mom, dad, my grandma, and my brother for watching. I love you guys." </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The Final featured a clash of Super Girl Surf Pro champs between Spencer and <strong>Eden Walla</strong> (USA), a rematch of the recent La Marginal Surfing Pro Final. Tough conditions didn’t sway Spencer and Walla’s determination to earn more Super Girl glory and got the Final started right away with Spencer earning the better of the exchange before finding another opportunity right away, posting a 6.00 (out of a possible 10). But, under priority, Walla struck back with her backhand attack on multiple sections to post a 7.17 and take the lead heading into the 19-minute mark. Then, Spencer found her opportunity to answer on her backhand and posted a 6.67 to regain the lead, leaving Walla needing a 5.50. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">But, the ocean didn’t provide last-minute heroics for Walla and Spencer etched her name into Super Girl Surf Pro history. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">A marquee Semifinal matchup featured a clash of Super Girl Surf Pro victors between now three-time winner Spencer and 2025 Oceanside winner <strong>Leilani McGonagle </strong>(CRC). Spencer’s backhand precision and power in the challenging conditions tipped the scales to the first excellent score of the event, earning an 8.00 and the day's best 15.13 (out of a possible 20) heat total. The first to earn three Super Girl Surf Pro QS victories, Spencer, started her Finals Day journey by taking down Jacksonville Beach’s own <strong>Lanea Mons</strong> (USA) in the Round of 16 before a hard-fought battle with rising talent <strong>Zoey Kaina</strong> (USA). </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Eden Walla Earns Second Super Girl Final Appearance, Back-to-Back QS Finals</strong></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Another remarkable Finals Day run for <strong>Walla</strong> began with a dominant, Round of 16 showing, where she posted one of the day’s best single-wave scores of a 7.50 against proven QS threat <strong>Ella McCaffray</strong> (USA). The 16-year-old, Walla, then went on to showcase more of her precision and flair in the Quarterfinals over fellow Challenger Series contender <strong>Talia Swindal </strong>(USA), and then a brilliant Semifinal clash with Florida’s <strong>Kylie Pulcini</strong> (USA). </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">"That was super cool to have back-to-back Finals on the QS and get to surf against Alyssa again. She's an amazing surfer, and I'm just happy to be here again in the Finals," said Walla. "I feel like I've been really consistent the last few contests, and that's a big step for me. I've been really trying to get there and be more confident with my surfing in the jersey." </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Notable Performances From Proven QS Elite and Rising Challengers</strong></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Leilani McGonagle’s </strong>(CRC) run through the 2025/2026 has earned her multiple Finals Days appearances, including a major win at the Super Girl Surf Pro in Oceanside earlier this year. McGonagle continues to demonstrate her consistency in events, which is what keeps her pushing up the rankings each season and retaining her No. 6 ranking with a Semifinal finish in Jacksonville Beach after besting current No. 1 <strong>Bailey Turner</strong> (USA) in the Round of 16, and<strong> Avery McDonald </strong>(USA) in the Quarterfinals. The Costa Rican also sits at No. 18 on the Challenger Series as she now prepares for the Lexus Pipe Challenger beginning January 29 through February 8. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">One of Florida’s newest contenders, <strong>Kylie Pulcini </strong>(USA), found her form near home waters to secure her first-ever QS Semifinal appearance. Pulcini, 18, delivered a hefty blow on Finals Day by eliminating Challenger Series contender <strong>Sanoa Dempfle-Olin</strong> (CAN) in their Quarterfinal bout after besting fellow Floridian <strong>Daya McCart</strong> (USA) in the Round of 16. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The 2025/2026 North America QS season resumes at the men’s Corona Cero Surf Open Cerritos beginning November 20 through 23.
