No Contest comes to you from deep in Oaxaca, Mexico, as the Corona Open Mexico serves up warm water barrels and point break perfection at Barra de la Cruz, for the first time since the iconic Rip Curl Search was won here by Andy Irons in 2006.

Stab’s Ashton Goggans is back to give you a backstage tour of all things local, from veteran surf-guides of the region to up-and-coming surfers to keep an eye on. We ride shotgun with event wildcards Mateus Herdy and Rio Waida as the two global talents hone their craft alongside the world’s best, all while putting on a free-surfing clinic under a sizzling Pacific sun.

Mateus and Rio wrap things up in the kitchen to prepare some local cuisine and raise a toast to another successful edition of No Contest. Salud!
