London Surf / Film Festival X Reef Returns To London, October 19–26 2017

The seventh annual London Surf / Film Festival (LSFF) is returning to London on October 19 – 26, 2017 to showcase a fresh selection of surfing’s newest movie releases. There will be international films on show alongside those made by homegrown talent with submissions for this year’s event open now.

UK NATIONAL SNOW SHOW SET TO DEBUT IN BIRMINGHAM, OCTOBER 2021

October 2021 sees the reincarnation of the legendary London Ski & Snowboard Show, with the birth of The National Snow Show, hosted by Raccoon Events. The new event, run by some of the former event’s management team will take over the NEC in Birmingham for a weekend of action, talks, workshops, brand and retail exhibitors, entertainment, after parties and some of the biggest names in snowsports. The new UK Snow Show will unite the snowsports industry just as winter kicks off for the 21/22 season, providing brands with the perfect platform to activate any new marketing campaigns.

BBC To Broadcast Documentary On Rejuvenating Scottish Skate Park & Promoting Female Skateboard Participation

Opened in 1981, Livingston ‘Livi’ skatepark in Scotland was thriving back in the day. Sadly, that is no longer the case. Broadcasting on BBC Scotland and available on iPlayer, Long Live Livi is a documentary that follows The Snagglerats on their quest to restore Livi to its’ former glory whilst promoting girls to get into skating.

Snowboarding Returns To Hintertux May 29: Transform Gloves’ Tom Kingsnorth Gives Insight + Talks Biz

When scrolling Instagram this morning, we noticed glove guru Tom Kingsnorth of Transform Gloves was going snowboarding. We’ve seen plenty of people hiking lines and jibbing side country, but it seemed as if Tom was actually heading up the gondola to Hintertux’s glacier. So we gave Tom a shout once he’d returned from his shred to get insight into what snowboarding looks like in the ‘new normal’ and to catch up on how COVID’s affected his business. Wheels And Waves Postponed Until Further Notice

Due the decision made to ban gatherings and events in France until mid-July, the June 2020 Wheels and Waves event will be cancelled. The team involved will make decide on July 31 whether to postpone or cancel, depending on the newest government advice.

Vans Supports Core US Skate Shops With ‘Foot The Bill’ Kickback

Vans‘ new Foot The Bill initiative aims to support local skate shops, art and music venues, restaurants and hangouts. Vans have produced a limited run of 500 pairs per partner and all proceeds (less the costs of production and shipment) will be paid to the small business partners. Vans will be working with a minimum of 80 local partners.
