Banzai è uno dei posti mitici del surf in Italia. Forse il primo spot ad aver avuto un nome, sicuramente una delle prime onde di qualità ad essere scoperte e surfate con regolarità. E con queste premesse, la prima tappa del Campionato Italiano Junior non poteva che essere un successo, grazie alla perfetta organizzazione del Banzai Sporting Club. Un successo strepitoso di pubblico, organizzazione partecipazione e competizione in acqua.
