The fourth and final Grom Patrol Camp and Comp was celebrated at the Kosta Hostel Berawa as parents, friends, crew and sponsors gathered together to see which of the frothing groms would be going home with goody bags full of cool prizes from event sponsors and new surfboards, as the Grom Patrol’s own Tipi Jabrik announced the winners and finalists in five divisions, as well as four special awards, to end the night and the 2nd annual Grom Patrol series.

After a very successful inaugural series of three Grom Patrol events in 2019, Tipi Jabrik’s Grom Patrol Camp and Comp is back again but with five weekend events planned for 2020. Certainly this year’s Grom Patrol will a bit different from last year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation, but it will continue to have a high level of fun and value for the young up-and-coming groms of Bali.

Groms who participated in last year's Tipi Jabrik’s Grom Patrol Camp and Comp, that took place in Bali in July 2019 and consisted of 3 events.

“Inflection Point”, a new series produced by Red Bull Media House and Free Radicals, is an intimate look at the journey of four professional surfers as they compete to qualify for the World Surf League Championship Tour. The two-part series is narrated by Hawaii’s Noah Beschen and Kalani Rivero.

31 May 2020, Legian-Bali: The Padma Boys, WeLike Bali, and the ASC teamed up yesterday and asked Warung Melati to prepare some boxes of food that they could hand out to the people that used to make their living at the Legian-Seminyak beaches, but now have few opportunities for work since the beaches have been closed since the end of March.

The Asian Surf Co congratulates Swede-Brazilian Bali expat Kian Martin as the winner of the inaugural ASC Lock Down Video Clip Battle that ran from April 23-30 on LiveHeat’s new Clippero one-line video challenge platform. Kian with his crazy Desert Point barrel clip and his turn-to-air combination at Yo-Yos tallied up a total score of 16.50 points (out of a possible 20) for the win. He received the grand prize of Rp 2,000,000 in cash and some ASC merchandise and the distinction of being the first ever ASC Lock Down Video Clip Battle winner.
