The Czech Skate Cup is going to have its first visit to the skatepark of České Budějovice later this month. The best skateboarders will compete in the third stop of the series, both in bowl and concrete skatepark, on Saturday August 25th.

Maxim Habanec will be defending his street win from the Ostrava stop last month. He’s currently top of the leaderboards, ahead of Arnošt Ceral.

In the junior division we have a confident leader in Honza Navrátil, who is ranked above David Luu going into the event. Navrátil is also first on the bowl and adult leaderboards, so will be tough competition for Honza Tomšovský.

The contest is divided into two parts; the first being for beginners, and the second for advanced riders. The best beginners from the first half will also advance.

The event has a 20 000 kč prize win and the judges are going to score runs electronically. This judging system had its premiere in Ostrava, and the Czech Skateboarding Association holds high hopes for its success and improvement in contest quality.

The Czech Skateboarding Association organizes the highest prestige skate series in Czechia in cities where the circumstances are good for skateboarding. The next stop is the Czech Championship at Štvanice, Prague, this September.

The main partner of Czech Skate Cup is Vans. Theeve and Ambassadors are also supporting this tour.

Rules for each discipline, links, facebook events and points distribution can be found at the ČAS website: www.caskate.cz
