KORUA Shapes - YEARNING FOR TURNING VOL. 13 - Bigfoot Diaries This episode of the Yearning For Turning series is a return to the roots: a loose road trip up the West Coast of the United States, built around the simple objective of following the snow and sharing turns. The journey began with Nicholas Wolken and Matt Foley in an old Bigfoot truck camper, carrying them from San Diego through Mammoth and Tahoe, and onward to Bend, Oregon and the surrounding mountains. Along the way, plans stayed loose, storms were chased, and friends were made. From deep April snow in Tahoe, to flowing turns at Mt. Bachelor’s Gerry Lopez Big Wave Challenge, a quick detour to the Oregon Coast, and unforgettable mini pipe sessions tucked into spring afternoons, the trip naturally blended riding, filming, and time spent on the road. At its core, Big Foot Diaries is about flexibility and curiosity. Loose plans, early mornings, late nights, and the simple joy of turning a snowboard together. An ode to the early Yearning For Turning films, and a reminder that some of the best trips happen when you leave space for things to unfold on their own. KORUA Shapes – YEARNING FOR TURNING VOL. 12 – Down Under We are stoked to announce our first installation of Yearning for Turning south of the equator! Yearning for Turning 12 "Down Under" is centered around a trip the crew took to Australia in August of 2025. In classic snow bum style we lived out of a van for a few weeks, exploring the connection between snow and surf and even some of the crossover in board designs. Starting in Thredbo, we linked up with local rider Liam Glass and focused on highlighting some of the more surfy shapes in our board line. After an awesome week in the mountains we headed to the coast to hunt some waves and camp our way north. Liam is the son of legendary shaper Terry Glass and we spent a few days in his home zone on our trek - which gave us a unique opportunity to dive deeper into some cross over surf/snowboard design at the Glass Handcrafts shaping bay. Overall the trip ended up being everything we could have hoped for. A taste of somewhere new, and the chance to immerse ourselves in the local board riding culture. Loose plans, meeting new people on the road, and emphasizing the love of turning. Would love to thank the whole Glass family, Lincoln, Tom, and the whole crew over at Rhythm for making our trip so special.
